JUST YOUR AVERAGE WILD AND CRAZY SCHOLARSHIPS!

When I was in college, I never took advantage of scholarships. I just assumed that there wasn’t enough out there, but surprisingly there are billions of dollars in scholarship awards, but amazingly, not all the money is actually awarded. Why? Because not enough people apply for them!

Ever wonder about weird scholarships? Ever hear about the left-handed scholarship? I don’t know if that’s true. I haven’t seen it in my research, but there are tons of weird and wacky scholarships out there!

It’s not just about grades that much. Sure as grades are important and will afford you more opportunities, those of you wondering…what else? Well, here it is. I did a search through Fastweb’s website

This scholarship is awarded by the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION TO ADVANCE FAT ACCEPTANCE (NEW ENGLAND CHAPTER)

TALL CLUBS INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS FOR men and women- $1,000.00

Annually, at TCI Convention, TCI awards student scholarship(s) of up to $1000 each to tall students who are under 21 years of age and attending their first year of college in the following Fall. The recipients must also meet the TCI height requirement minimums of 5’10” for women and 6’2″ for men.

MCDONALDS USA NATIONAL EMPLOYEE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Just for working at McDonald’s!!

McDonald’s USA National Employee Scholarship Program is one of many examples of McDonald’s commitment to employee development and recognition The program recognizes and rewards the accomplishments of McDonald’s student-employees who excel in their studies, serve their communities, and work hard to deliver an outstanding experience for our customers.

SHURTECH BRANDS, LLC DUCK TAPE® BRAND DUCT TAPE “STUCK AT PROM®” SCHOLARSHIP- $500 – $3,000

  • There is even a scholarship for your last name!  Such as if you have the last name Zolp you can earn a full ride tuition scholarship to Loyola University. Search the free online database to see if there is a scholarship for your last name.
  • Calling all duck callers!!! Calling all duck callers! If you can call, you may be entitled to a really wacky $1,500 scholarship.
  • Golf caddies can even use their experience and work on the course to earn free money for school.
  • Do you have natural red hair? As wacky as it may seem, you can get free money for college because of this.
  • Twins and triplets, you and your sibling can receive an unusual scholarship and keepin’ it in the family, so to speak
  • Hey skaters! The Patrick Kerr Skateboard Scholarship is a very unique opportunity for students who skateboard to earn free money for school.
  • Are you a vegetarian and love it!? Wanna write about it? Well, you can win $5000 for higher education by writing an essay about your experience.
  • Did you know that more than six million dollars is awarded from the US Bowling Congress through bowling competitions. Here’s the unfortunate part: millions of dollars goes unawarded due to lack of applications!
  • Did you know that a milk mustache can earn you money for school?  This is one of the most unusual scholarships available for high school athletes, but it can award you $7,500 for school if milk is your beverage of choice.
  • Winning an online poker tournament might be a unique way to earn free money for college.
