HOW TO TIE A TIE

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve judged competitions, interviewed people or simply worked with different individuals, and noticed how badly tied their ties were! I’m a little odd when it comes to that, but first impressions do mean a lot and can make or break you.

Are you one that always has trouble tying a tie? Well, look no further.

I’m sure for many of you, wearing a  tie is not something you prefer, but when you have to, making sure your tie doesn’t look like something you put together blind-folded.

Not only does having a cleaned and ironed shirt, (tucked in all the way) an important thing to have for an interview, meeting or whatever, but many people can build an impression of you based on your tie.

I’ve always been a  very meticulous person when it comes to clothes, especially ties. I learned through various sites on how to tie a tie. I use a website on how to tie a tie from Johann-Caspar Isemer @ http://www.tie-a-tie.net/.

But, below I put together a few different ways for you to learn how to tie a tie! Whatever of the four types of knots on your tie you would like. For each type of tie, I’ve included a picture with several steps for you to look at. I also included a picture of what it could look like after a successful tie. Thirdly I included a YouTube link to a video that shows step by step video of how to tie each.

Each type is listed below:
